Account Deletion Policy

1. Overview

You have the right to delete your MarkTheTask account and all associated data at any time. This policy explains how account deletion works, what data is removed, and what to expect during the process.

2. How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion of your account directly through the app:

  • •Open MarkTheTask and navigate to Settings
  • •Select "Delete Account" under the Account section
  • •Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request
  • •Alternatively, email us at markthetask@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account

3. Grace Period & Cancellation

After requesting deletion, a 30-day grace period applies before any data is permanently removed. During this period you can change your mind:

  • •Log back into your account within the 30-day window
  • •Cancel the deletion request from the account settings
  • •Your account and data will be fully restored once cancelled

4. What Gets Deleted

Upon completion of the 30-day grace period, the following data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers:

  • •Your MarkTheTask account and profile information
  • •All cloud-synced task data and settings
  • •Authentication records associated with your account

5. What Is Not Deleted

The following data may be retained after account deletion:

  • •Anonymized or aggregated statistics that do not identify you
  • •Records required to comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations
  • •Purchase receipts from Google Play, which are managed by Google

6. Local Data on Your Device

Deleting your account removes data stored in the cloud. Task data stored locally on your device must be removed separately by clearing the app data or uninstalling the application.

7. Permanent & Irreversible

Once the grace period ends and deletion is completed, the deletion is final and irreversible. You will not be able to recover your account or any deleted data. If you create a new account in the future, it will start fresh.
